Sonoma Community Garden Mini Grant

WellKind is accepting applications for mini grant proposals from Sonoma County communities for the purpose of creating or to sustain an existing community garden program or related project. Through this opportunity we wish to help communities in creating or maintaining a community garden, organic farm stand, or other community based project that will provide healthy food, and/or greater food security, and/or education about ecology, organic food production, and health.

WellKind is offering mini grants ranging from $250.00 – to- $1,500.00.

WellKind is also offering support in the form of outdoor educators and gardeners to assist communities in developing their garden project.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, January 29, 2021. Grant recipients will be notified by Monday, February 15, 2021.

Your Relationship to the Community

Explain your community and/or your community organization and tell us how many people the garden project is expected to serve. (250 words maximum)

How will they be served? Access to the garden, or organic produce? Access to educational projects? (250 words maximum)

Why should your community be awarded a WellKind Community Garden Program mini-grant? Include information on specifics about the garden project, how long it will take to develop, involvement of community members in the project, and hoped for outcomes and benefits of having the project. (250 words maximum)

Amount Requested. Explain, if awarded - How will your Community Garden Program mini-grant be used and what will it pay for? (250 words maximum)

Where will you have your community garden? No space is too small. (250 words maximum)
