Why Forest Stewardship?
This is the time for New Ideas and Bold Actions to protect the health and biodiversity of the planet. Forests, trees and plants are essential to the long-term health of the Earth & Earth’s atmosphere. Abrupt environmental changes present serious challenges for wildlife and forest sustainability.
We work to apply innovative solutions for the long-term health of the planet, forests and wildlife.
WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER FOR THE BENEFIT OF FUTURE GENERATIONS OF ALL LIFE.
Global warming poses new risks to forest ecosystems and the humans and animals that depend on them. Yet forests and plants are critical to the healing of our planet’s atmosphere, and for the future health of all life on Earth.
Today, trees and forests face a multitude of threats including cutting, diseases, and fires, along with drought and other unusual weather conditions caused by global warming. These threats demand innovative and proactive approaches and solutions.
While many understand that forest health is related to biodiversity, few understand that biodiversity is directly linked to forest and tree health.
MANY EXISTING LAWS, POLICIES AND PRACTICES PERTAINING TO FOREST, WILDLIFE & FIRE MANAGEMENT ARE INADEQUATE OR FAIL TO ADDRESS THE STUNNING CHANGES THAT ARE OCCURRING.
WellKind forwards the principle that by protecting forests and native plants we can help to heal our atmosphere while saving the species that depend upon them for survival.
We do this by:
1. Educating the public about the importance of forests and trees and bringing the newest scientific knowledge about the important role of plants in supporting all life on Earth.
2. Providing college accredited science education & vocational training for high school and college students in innovative forest and wildlife management practices
3. Developing habitat management plans & recommendations based on the newest science & technology, and assisting private landowners, land managers and policymakers in applying proven practices that make a difference in a climate-changed world.
